Last month, members of the Jet Linx team enjoyed sportsmanship and competition for a good cause – the Ronald McDonald House Charities Omaha. Ray Bennett, Jet Linx Aviation Vice President of Sales, and Bruce Tuttle, Jet Linx Aviation Director of Compliance, joined friends to compete in the Clays for Kids event held at the Oak Creek Sporting Club.

The two-day Clays for Kids event, held September 19 & 20, brought teams of five together to work their way through 10 stations and 100 targets to receive individual scores out of 100. “The event is something like golfing with a shotgun,” Bennett explained. “It was nice to get out and do something really different for a good cause. Ronald McDonald House is a great charity, and there was a lot of camaraderie enjoyed by all participants.” The team represented Jet Linx well: “Bruce Tuttle is our sharpshooter,” Bennett said with a grin. Bennett and Tuttle teamed up with Cary Eccles of Millard Refrigeration, Allen Chaffee of UMB Bank, and Tuttle’s friend Randy Bowers to rank 14th of over 50 teams on Saturday. Tuttle also tied for fifth in individual shooters on Saturday.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities provides needed services for families during their most difficult and challenging times. The organization provides over 5,500 lodging nights annually, providing a place to stay and the normalcy of home for families bringing children to the Omaha community for medical care. The organization also provides dental care to kids who might otherwise go without, and supports organizations that focus on improving children’s lives.
