Houston Private Jet Company welcomes Jon Mostyn as Vice President

Jet Linx Houston, a private jet card and aircraft management company, has hired Jon Mostyn to be its Vice President of Sales, responsible for growing the Base’s client group and delivering the high touch service that is the cornerstone of Jet Linx’s brand.

Jon hails from San Marcos, TX and graduated from Texas A & M in 1991. After graduation, Jon completed Air Officer Candidate school (AOCS) at Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida where he graduated number one in his class, earned the distinction of Distinguished Naval Graduate and was commissioned as a Naval Officer. Jon began his Navy flight training at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi in September of 1991. In 1993, after completing his initial carrier qualification on the USS John F Kennedy (CVN – 67), he earned his “Wings of Gold” and was designated a Naval Aviator. From there, Jon went on to complete a five year sea tour with deployments to the Persian Gulf on the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) and the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) aircraft carriers. In 1998, Jon reported as a tactical flight instructor specializing in initial student carrier qualification as the lead Landing Signal Officer for Training Wing TWO. During that tour, Jon was awarded tactical Instructor of the Year, Landing Signal Officer of the Year and earned multiple Navy Commendation Medals.

In 2005, Jon earned the rank of Commander (O-5) and also was elected as the Commanding Officer of VTR-22 overseeing 40 flight instructors and over 60 T-45 Goshawk Tactical Training aircraft. After retirement from the Navy, Jon flew for American Airlines on the 727, F100, and S80 aircraft and also began to fly part time in the corporate community. Jon decided to leave American to fly corporately full time and flew high value clients in the Gulfstream 100, Gulfstream III and the Gulfstream V. For the past three years, Jon has served as the Director of Operations for a large part 135 company located here in Houston. He was in charge of all Federal Aviation Administration compliance, aircraft maintenance, pilots, dispatch and aircraft management for over twenty Heavy and Midsize aircraft.
