Business Solutions

The Business Solutions department builds and delivers business solutions that empower Jet Linx team members to Supply the High. Business solutions are cross-functional in nature and consist of process enhancement, technology enablement, data insights and process & software documentation. This department is highly collaborative and is made up of individuals with a broad range of cross-functional skill sets ranging from someone with highly technical knowledge to others with sharp business acumen. Training is on the job and includes introduction to the company, the existing technology and tools, and solutions process.

 

Technical education and experience differ among roles, but candidates are typically chosen based on past experience and how they may be able to apply those skills to provide cross-functional solutions. Core characteristics of a candidate would include an individual that is curious, humble, aware and accountable. All candidates must display high competency in communication, collaboration and execution. Technical experience may include but is not limited to software development lifecycle, agile Kanban methodology, matrix leadership and data-driven design.

 

Future and existing roles in the department include Data Architect, IT Business Analyst, Software Engineer, Solution Architect, Director of Product Delivery, Fullstack Developer, Junior Business Analyst and Technical Writer.

 

Information Technology (IT)

The Jet Linx Information Technology (IT) department provides technical support and assistance for Jet Linx end users with systems or software. The IT department also designs, tests, and develops high-quality applications and products that help business partners achieve desired outcomes. Members of the IT department need a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, as well as a deep understanding of new and fast-changing technologies related to cloud technologies, software development, or extensive experience with hardware, software and troubleshooting or equivalent experience.

 

Other than experience in computer sciences and related fields, a candidate for roles in Information Technology must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact with all departments and all levels of the company. Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills are also important, as well as the ability to work with frequent changes in procedure, directions and outcomes. After-hours support may also be required, but most roles work inside of traditional office hours. Some travel to Base locations may also be necessary.

 

Potential roles within the IT department include Help Desk Technician (I, II, and III), Full Stack Developer (I and II), Systems Network Administrator, Lead Software Engineer and more.
