Jet Linx Fleet Spotlight: Cessna Citation V
The Light Jet is the most demanded private jet type in the Jet Linx fleet for its fast and comfortable transport of up to seven passengers looking to travel to regional destinations.
Built for business travel, Light Jets bring the flexibility to arrive at virtually any airport, but they also make a strong choice for those remote family escapes. If you’re pursuing the right blend of range, comfort, cost and availability – then a Light Jet may be right for you.
A mainstay of the Light Jet segment, the Cessna Citation V offers an exceptional blend of comfort, capability and value. With its spacious cabin and high-speed performance, this popular aircraft is ideally suited for regional corporate travel and family trips. The journey of the Citation V is one that began with a vision for efficiency and innovation. Emerging as the direct descendant of Clyde Cessna’s vision for cost-effective air travel, the Citation series has continually pushed the boundaries of what’s possible in private aviation. Introduced in 1989, the innovative Citation V brought new standards of luxury, range and capability to the Light Jet market. A grand total of 774 units were delivered during its long production run between 1989 and 2011.
In comparison to larger aircraft, Light Jets like the Citation V offer benefits that are difficult to match. Their streamlined design translates into better fuel efficiency and lower operational costs, without compromising luxury and comfort that our Aircraft Owners and Jet Card Members seek. The Citation V from represents an optimal balance of efficiency, flexibility, and luxury in a Light Jet package. With its spacious customizable cabin, 500 mph top speed, and ability to access runways over 3,800 feet, the Citation V delivers private jet performance and convenience rivaling everything in its class.
One of the key attributes that sets the Citation V apart is its versatility in both range and adaptability to various airport conditions. With a range that allows it to effortlessly cover distances while still maintaining efficiency, the Citation V is an ideal choice for both short-haul and medium-range flights. Its ability to accommodate up to eight passengers underscores its suitability for a range of scenarios, from corporate travel to family getaways.
At the heart of the Citation V are two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW535 turbofan engines, each producing 3,800 pounds of thrust. With a maximum cruise speed of 508 mph, this Light Jet excels at connecting distant city pairs rapidly and efficiently. The Citation V offers a range of more than 2,000 miles, allowing a nonstop flight to destinations such as New York to Miami, Dallas to Seattle, Fort Lauderdale to New York, and Aspen to Los Angeles.
Stepping into the cabin of the Citation V, advanced ventilation systems and a host of amenities such as a galley equipped with a refrigerator and Espresso machine ensure that every journey is characterized by supreme comfort. The Citation V features one of the widest cabins in its class at over five feet and the passenger compartment offers comfortable seating for up to eight in a double-club configuration, plus two in the lavatory seat.
The cabin’s triple-glazed windows not only add to the aircraft’s sleek aesthetics but also contribute to soundproofing for a more optimal flight experience. The cabin features a front and rear temperature control and ventilation system and holds sea level pressure until 23,580 feet. With 63 cubic feet of baggage space, Jet Card Members can haul up to seven suitcases and three golf bags, depending on the specific jet configuration and amount of passengers.
