Jet Linx St. Louis Begins Flight Operations at Lambert International Airport

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Because of the improving economy, lower pricing and increased demand from corporations, private jet travel is growing nationally. The FAA estimates that the number of private jets and hours flown have increased by over 10% since 2008. St. Louis is benefitting from this trend with the launch of Jet Linx at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.

Jet Linx, the only private jet company in the nation offering a local solution for guaranteed Jet Card and Aircraft Management services, will begin operations from a private terminal facility and hangar at Lambert. Formerly the site of operations for the Missouri Air National Guard, this site now leased to Jet Linx St. Louis has been unused since 2009.

Jet Linx St. Louis is initiating a new page in the rich aviation history of this city with the re-launch of the former Missouri Air National Guard facility as its base of operations. This tradition goes back to legendary aviator Charles Lindbergh, who flew out of the facility nearly a century ago as the chief pilot on the St. Louis to Chicago mail run prior to joining the 110th Observation Squadron and making his historic trans-Atlantic flight to Paris in 1927 in his famed aircraft, the Spirit of Saint Louis. That proud history continued as home of the F-15 and through the 86 great years the Missouri Air National Guard operated out of this historic spot.

Founded in 1999, Jet Linx has nine locations including Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Indianapolis, Omaha, San Antonio, Scottsdale and now St Louis. Jet Linx has taken a decidedly different and successful approach to private jet travel with an emphasis on local operations. Jet Linx St. Louis is owned by St. Louis businessmen Robert Hermann, Jr., Keith Harbison and Jim Mauzé who see not only the need for expanding private jet service at Lambert, but also the economic benefits to the St. Louis business community.

“We are thrilled to be investing in the economic development of St. Louis and the continued expansion of Lambert International,” said Jim Mauzé, Base President of Jet Linx St. Louis. “We pride ourselves on local operations and see tremendous potential for growth now and in the future.”

Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge, Director of Lambert-St. Louis International Airport said, “Working with Jet Linx and the Missouri Air National Guard on this exchange was a great example of government and private sector co-operation on a venture that benefits Lambert and the St. Louis Region.”

The partnership between Jet Linx and Lambert St. Louis International Airport has been two years in the making. Jet Linx St. Louis is staffed entirely with St. Louis employees in client services, maintenance, operations, administration and flight personnel.

Jet Linx St. Louis is accessed off Lambert International Boulevard just west of the main terminal at Lambert. Members enter through a security gate and have the option of pulling up to the aircraft or the terminal building where a customer service representative will greet the member, park their car, and take their luggage to the aircraft. Inside the terminal will be a lounge, boardroom, fully stocked bar, wi-fi and amenities catered to their needs.

ECONOMIC IMPACT OF OVER $10 Million

• Jet Linx is investing more than $1 Million with the city of St. Louis to lease 7 acres at the southwest end of Lambert, directly adjacent to the new runway
• Jet Linx expects to generate more than $ 1 Million in annual tax revenues
• Jet Linx is investing approximately $1 Million in the renovation and capital improvement of the former Air National Guard facility
• Jet Linx will purchase nearly $3 Million annually in jet fuel from local vendors
• Jet Linx will create more than 100 local jobs for design, construction, operations and pilots
• Jet Linx will spend approximately $3 Million with local jet aircraft maintenance and service providers for its managed fleet
• Jet Linx will invest approximately $1 Million annually in contracted services with local Fixed Base Operation providers including ground transportation, catering and hotels
