Below, cruise the British Virgin Islands with Your Personal Jet Company and Worldwide Boat.

Your charter experience is our sole focus and we remain in contact with guests throughout their voyage. We are not involved with sales – and that means we’re invested in your experience and in fulfilling those aspirational goals for our clients. We discuss everything from linen to China, glass, and silver, to watersports or desired outings.
We also match our guests with the proper brokers so that communication style is never out of sync,” said Jason Carter, Director of Travel at Worldwide Boat.

Managing the largest fleet of boats in the Bahamas, the charter experts at Worldwide Boat know that the crew makes up more than half of the experience. As an independent agency, their advice is free and unbiased because their only goal is to offer the finest yachts and vacation experiences to guests. “Reputation of the vessel and crew is important to us, which is why we have formed an internal rating system. We go to every boat show and open house to see the yachts and meet the crew for ourselves. We know that luxury is the built-in expectation, so aspiration is the next stepping stone for our clients,” Carter said.

Worldwide Boat brings a limitless selection of yachts, destinations, expert industry knowledge, consistent concierge support and a dedication to creating an unforgettable vacation.

Few places on earth resemble paradise more than the British Virgin Islands (BVIs). With more than 60 islands and cays (many of which have protected bays and anchorages), the BVIs offer endless beaches and tropical landscapes for families to explore. Even better, the BVIs are considered the best sailing destination in the world, featuring year-round warm weather and consistent trade winds. With very little change in seasons, you can rent a yacht in the islands virtually year-round and still expect sunshine, warm temperatures, and cooling breezes (however, hurricane season does run from June to November).

No matter what kind of vessel you choose, the multitude of islands in the area are best explored by boat. With a picturesque beach around every corner, there’s ample opportunity to find a little bit of what you fancy, whether it’s seclusion or a more upbeat atmosphere. Water sports, surfing, horseback riding, fishing, world-class snorkeling and scuba diving, pristine reefs and no crowds to fight over space – a yacht charter is your best bet to fully enjoy the beauty of the BVIs.

Any trip to the BVIs can be customized to your liking. Because the area offers some of the best reef and wreck diving in the world, there are vessels that are dive-dedicated and dive-oriented, but you may also organize a rendezvous with a yacht in the Worldwide Boat fleet if you wish to dive on occasion. Explore a sample eight-day itinerary below.

DAY 1 – TORTOLA & NORMAN ISLAND

Your journey begins at noon on the West End of Tortola at Sopers Hole – originally home to pirates. After lunch, a tour of the vessel and a chat about the itinerary, your crew will set sail for two hours toward Norman Island, also known as Treasure Island. The caves located off Norman Island’s Treasure Point hold some of the most enchanting snorkeling in the BVIs. Bring an underwater flashlight to check out the orange cup coral and red sponge that cover the cave walls as schools of yellow tails, blue tangs and sergeant majors swim nearby.

If diving doesn’t appeal, be sure to hike up to Spyglass Hill to channel your inner Jack Sparrow. This is a known lookout point for pirates, so bring your camera to capture the rich history of the area.

DAY 2 – PETER ISLAND

Only four nautical miles away, you likely won’t finish your morning coffee before arriving at Peter Island – famous for its picture-perfect beaches. After a wild day one, you may want to take the opportunity to relax at Deadman’s Beach. The crescent-shaped stretch of sand is lined with shade-throwing palms, offering visitors the perfect setting for an afternoon picnic or a relaxing beach day. Plus, since it’s difficult to reach (unless you arrive via yacht!), Deadman’s Beach remains quieter than most.

Peter Island is privately owned, featuring 1,800 acres of excellent sailing, scuba diving, hiking, biking or just relaxing. Scuba divers will enjoy Blonde Rock, just off Peter Island in about 70 feet of water.

DAY 3 – SALT ISLAND

After breakfast and a brief sail to Salt Island, guests will be in the perfect position to enjoy one of the world’s best wreck sites: the RMS Rhone.

Founded in 1980, the Rhone National Marine Park is the BVI’s first and only sea park. The protected area – which encompasses nearly 800 acres between Dead Chest Island and Salt Island – is home to a plethora of dive spots, including that of the RMS Rhone, a mail ship that sank in 1867. The wreck is still well intact, the iron bow is still in mostly one piece, and numerous artifacts are still visible including tools and silverware.

Alternatively, stroll on the beach, sit under a palm tree and just soak up the sun and turquoise waters – with a freshly- prepared beverage in hand!

DAY 4 – VIRGIN GORDA

A morning sail will take you to the Dog Islands for a snorkeling adventure over colorful corals and shoaling reef fish, or you can visit the Baths on Virgin Gorda. The Baths is the centerpiece of Devil’s Bay National Park, a protected BVI national marine and land park, which are sheltered swimming pools on the beach created by gigantic granite boulders. Most go to wade in the shallow pools and relax. But it’s also a cool snorkeling destination, as the boulders create crevices underneath the water.

Another option is to visit an area called the North Drop, one of the most popular fishing locations in the BVIs. A variety of fish inhabit this ocean shelf located about 200 feet below the surface.

DAY 5 – NORTH SOUND & ANEGADA

Spend the morning cruising the North Sound – truly one of the most outstanding natural harbors in the Caribbean. Enjoy windsurfing, snorkeling, hiking and shopping or sail to Anegada, a sunken island nestled within a horseshoe reef, the third largest barrier reef in the world. For the first half of this two- or three-hour sail there is no land visible, then the palm trees appear on the horizon warning of your imminent arrival.

Beach-lovers will enjoy Anegada for Loblolly Bay, with its creamy sand and beaches sprinkled with rustic bars, sun shelter and quaint cottages. Untouched and extremely private, Loblolly Bay is consistently rated as one of the BVI’s top beaches. Surfers should note that the West End of Anegada offers some of the best conditions in the area for catching waves.

DAY 6 – TRELLIS BAY

An early start from Anegada ensures plenty of time to sail back and enjoy snorkeling off Guana Island or Camanoe Island. Off the eastern end of Tortola are several small, secluded anchorages. However, Trellis Bay offers ideal conditions for windsurfing and kayaking, pleasing beginners and more-experienced surfers alike.

Art lovers can also find Aragorn’s Studio, a BVI native known for producing metal sculptures since the 1980s. Full Moon parties at Trellis Bay offer Fire Balls (made by Aragorn’s Studio), acrobats, stilt walkers, and Jumbie Dancers on the beach. The parties are extraordinary and very family-friendly, but once the sun goes down, it’s typically a boozy affair fit for adults.

DAY 7 – JOST VAN DYKE

Known for its legendary beach bars, Jost Van Dyke is the place to be for afternoon cocktails and lounging in the sapphire-blue waters. The first stop will be Foxy’s famous bar where you can grab lunch, enjoy cocktails, and listen to some live music from Foxy himself.

Jost Van Dyke is home to two incredible beaches – Sandy Cay and White Bay Beach. For those looking to feel like a castaway, head to this uninhabited, tiny island off the southeastern coast of Jost Van Dyke. Sandy Cay is a nature preserve that’s only accessible by boat, like a BVI yacht charter. With nothing else to distract you but a gorgeous white-sand beach and palm grove, this islet is the perfect escape.

DAY 8 – TORTOLA

On the last day of charter, guests choose breakfast from a light selection of assorted bread and fresh tropical fruits, champagne and eggs Benedict. Swim or snorkel before sailing back to Road Town for that last-minute gift shopping before joining your homeward flight. Tortola is also the center of the islands’ horseback-riding scene, and there are a wide range of adventures to choose, including trail or beach riding excursions.

The former haunt of pirates, Tortola’s main town, Road Town is within reach of secluded beaches and hidden coves such as Cane Garden Bay and Long Bay Beach – some of the most stunning sand in the BVIs. The ruins of Fort Burt and the still-functioning Callwood Rum Distillery are worth visiting if you have time before your departure.
