Why I Fly – Jeff Gladish, Jet Linx Houston
Aviation has been my passion as long as I can remember.
I am blessed to be a 3rd generation pilot. As a child, I remember “helping” my grandfather Wright build aircraft in his garage – aircraft that he and my grandmother flew every chance they got. My Dad and I spent our best days flying to air shows, fly-ins and $100 hamburgers.
Over 30 years later, our best days are still the ones we spend in the cockpit together. My Dad is my mentor and best friend, I can thank aviation for that. He taught me the value of stick and rudder skills, strong work ethic and professionalism that I take to work with me every time I get into the cockpit of a Jet Linx aircraft.
The picture was taken on our way to the 2012 Father’s Day Fly-In held in Columbia, CA.
