My Home Base – Michele Sonier, Jet Linx Fort Worth
In each edition of My Home Base, we feature a member of the Jet Linx team from across the country and showcase what they feel makes their Jet Linx location and their city special. In this edition, meet Michele Sonier, Jet Linx Pilot.

Favorite part of your job: The view of the world at 43,000 feet and the perspective it gives me on everything in life.
Describe the Jet Linx experience in one word: Rewarding.
Favorite Jet Linx memory or experience: I often ask other pilots what their favorite airport is. Telluride comes up quite a bit as the reply. It was described as landing on a postage stamp in the middle of a valley surrounded by mountains. After that answer, I couldn’t wait for a trip there. Finally, a few weeks ago I went. It was the day before my birthday and I was flying with another female Jet Linx Pilot Kelly McDonald, which was special in and of itself. The approach into TEX was stunningly gorgeous. When the runway finally came into view, I was speechless (which if you know me, that doesn’t happen often!) I was so overwhelmed I had tears in my eyes. It was a dream come true and something I never, ever thought was possible when I took my first lesson in a Cessna 172 at New Orleans Lakefront airport just a few years ago. Kelly used to live in Telluride and she was the best tour guide I could have asked for. It was a bucket list day and a birthday gift I will not soon forget.
Favorite thing about Fort Worth: The daily cattle drive at the Fort Worth Stockyards. Where else can you see longhorns parading down the middle of the street?!
Little known fact about yourself, or favorite hobby: I have a masters degree in clinical nutrition and I’m a Board certified Homeopath. Outside of aviation, I’ve managed my own nutrition and holistic wellness practice since 2006. My favorite hobby is scuba diving.
