My Home Base – Steve Gentry, Jet Linx San Antonio
In each edition of My Home Base, we feature a member of the Jet Linx team from across the country and showcase what they feel makes their Jet Linx location and their city special. In this edition, meet Steve Gentry, Jet Linx San Antonio General Manager.
Favorite part of your job:Â Serving the needs of our Jet Card members and aircraft owners, and ensuring expectations are not just met, but exceeded at every opportunity.
Describe the Jet Linx team in one word: World-class.
Favorite Jet Linx memory or experience: My initial visit to the National Operations Center. The very warm reception, professionalism and attitude of every team member I met there confirmed that Jet Linx is where I was meant to be.
Favorite thing about San Antonio: Texas Hill Country.
Little known fact about yourself, or favorite hobby: I grew up on motorcycles and have owned more than 50 (and counting!) in my life. I used to ride 5-6 hours to get to the Texas Hill Country, but now it’s my backyard. I also love repairing & restoring vintage bikes, cars & trucks.
What someone find surprising about your job: How diverse my role is on a daily basis. One day I’m working on invoices and the next I might be detailing an aircraft or washing a client’s car. It’s this all-encompassing role of delivering the ultimate experience for our clients that drives me every day.
