My Home Base – Tony Massinon, Washington DC
In each edition of My Home Base, we feature a member of the Jet Linx team from across the country and showcase what they feel makes their Jet Linx location and their city special. In this edition, meet Tony Massinon, our Falcon 900 Pilot In Command.
A seasoned pilot with a great sense of humor, Tony Massinon joined the Jet Linx team in 2015. He shared some of what makes him proud to call Jet Linx DC his home base:
Favorite part of your job: Flying – I like the travel and the challenge in flying to varied and new destinations
Describe the Jet Linx experience/team in one word: Supportive
Favorite Jet Linx memory or experience: Shortly after our aircraft joined Jet Linx, we were in Dallas for the weekend and had a photo shoot scheduled for the aircraft; the support and assistance from the Jet Linx Dallas team made us feel like we were part of their team.
Favorite thing in DC: There’s no limit to what you want to experience in the DC area – from theater, museums, sports, shopping – the area has it all!
Little known fact about yourself: I recently got serious about my golf game and am working to get my handicap down to a single digit … Plus, this job allows me the opportunity to golf in some really cool places.
What might someone find surprising about your job: When I tell people that I travel to various destinations, they routinely ask how I liked it. Most of the time all we see are the airports and the hotels – it’s not like we were there on vacation and got to tour the area, although occasionally we do.
