Owner Aircraft Exchange

Jet Linx keeps you moving with the only exchange program in the industry. Guaranteed access to a supplemental aircraft at your direct operating cost, when your aircraft is unavailable or down for maintenance.

WHAT THE OWNER AIRCRAFT EXCHANGE IS

The Owner Aircraft Exchange is a supplemental aircraft program available to Aircraft Owners whose aircraft is managed by Jet Linx. When your aircraft is unavailable for scheduled or unscheduled maintenance, you fly another aircraft in our managed fleet at its direct operating cost rather than retail charter rates.

Since 1999, we have built our Aircraft Management program around a simple idea, that ownership should give you more freedom rather than more to manage. Maintenance is the point where that promise is hardest to keep. Parts delays, engine overhauls and aircraft on ground events all take an aircraft out of service, and the open charter market prices that urgency accordingly.

We created the Owner Aircraft Exchange as a closed, in-fleet answer. Participating Aircraft Owners make a set number of hours available on their own aircraft, and in return gain access to the rest of our managed fleet when they need it. Every aircraft in the program belongs to an Aircraft Owner operating under the same Jet Linx standards, so the aircraft you step onto is held to the standard you already expect. Downtime is not only an inconvenience, it changes the economics of ownership.

Unlike sourcing a replacement aircraft on the open charter market, where availability and pricing shift with demand, the exchange draws on a controlled fleet at a known cost. You know what you will pay before you fly.

The Owner Aircraft Exchange supports:

  • Scheduled maintenance and engine overhauls

  • Unscheduled aircraft on ground events

  • Access at your direct operating cost

  • One aviation partner for the aircraft and the backup

HOW IT WORKS

  • Receive a minimum of 10 hours of supplemental flight time each year, at the direct operating cost of the aircraft you fly
  • Enroll your aircraft to support other participating Aircraft Owners when they need supplemental backup
  • Access more than 100 managed aircraft across 22 private jet terminals nationwide
  • Your travel always takes priority, and exchange flights are never scheduled in conflict with your planned use
  • Pay only when you fly, with no requirement to use your hours

The Owner Aircraft Exchange is available to Aircraft Owners whose aircraft is already under Jet Linx management.

HOW IT WORKS

EXAMPLE BASE HOURLY RATES

These example rates reflect direct operating cost, the variable cost of operating the aircraft, rather than the retail charter rates an Owner would otherwise pay to source a replacement aircraft during a maintenance event. Your rate depends on the aircraft you fly.

Light Jet
$2,200/hr
Midsize Jet
$3,000/hr
Super Midsize Jet
$3,800/hr
Heavy Jet
$4,800/hr

Rates shown are examples and are subject to change. Every aircraft in the program operates under the same standards as the rest of our managed fleet, including ARGUS Platinum Elite, WYVERN Wingman PRO, and IS-BAO Stage 3 accreditation.

A DIFFERENT APPROACH

Jet Linx Executive Chairman Jamie Walker framed the program simply when it launched, that an Aircraft Owner should not have to worry about reaching their next destination because of a maintenance event, scheduled or otherwise (reported by SherpaReport, April 2026).

The Owner Aircraft Exchange operates inside the same Aircraft Management platform that already handles your maintenance planning, crew, dispatch and compliance, and it carries the same guarantees that support Jet Card Membership. One team, one standard, and a plan for the days your aircraft is unavailable.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who is eligible for the Owner Aircraft Exchange?
The Owner Aircraft Exchange is available to Aircraft Owners whose aircraft is managed by Jet Linx. It is not offered as a standalone product, and it is separate from Jet Card Membership and retail charter. If we manage your aircraft, you can enroll it and gain access to the rest of our managed fleet.
How many exchange hours do Aircraft Owners receive each year?
Participating Aircraft Owners receive a minimum of 10 hours of supplemental flight time each year, and additional hours are available. In return, you make an equivalent number of hours available on your own aircraft. There is no requirement to use your hours, and they remain available if a maintenance event takes your aircraft out of service.
Will an exchange flight ever conflict with my own travel?
No. Your travel always takes priority, and exchange flights are never scheduled in conflict with your planned use of your aircraft. The program draws only on availability you have already released, which is what allows a closed in-fleet model to work where an open charter arrangement would not.
What do I pay for an exchange flight?
You pay the direct operating cost of the aircraft you fly, which is the variable cost of operating that aircraft, rather than the retail charter rate the open market would charge during a maintenance event. Example base rates range from $2,200 per hour for a light jet to $4,800 per hour for a heavy jet.
How do I enroll my aircraft?
Talk with your local Jet Linx team at your private jet terminal, or with your Aircraft Management contact. Enrollment is handled alongside your existing management agreement, so there is no separate onboarding process. Your local team will confirm your aircraft type and the number of hours you want to make available.
