Welcome to Destination 225°, an exciting new program in partnership with Southwest Airlines® that provides motivated and capable candidates with a career path into an aviation career.  The Destination 225° University pathway is designed for collegiate aviators who attend a Southwest® partner university or complete a Southwest Airlines® Campus Reach Internship. 

Our vision is to ease the barriers to becoming a pilot, and guide those who are selected to the University pathway in their next steps: gaining relevant flight experience with a Southwest Airlines partner, in order to put themselves in position to join the ranks as a Southwest Airlines Pilot. Minimum Qualifications to be Considered:

• Must be accepted into the Destination 225 program via Southwest Airlines acceptance letter
• Must be an actively enrolled in University program affiliated with D225 program
• Must be willing to commit minimum of 2 years to Jet Linx
• Must provide letter of recommendation showing good standing in coursework and flight training
• Must provide current resume displaying current flight times, ratings and other applicable experience
• Must successfully pass TSA background screenings, criminal history records check and FAA/DOT drug testing

Knowledge, Skill & Abilities:

• Demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Be able to pass the prescreening requirements needed for employment at Southwest Airlines
• Be able to relocate

 Education & Work Experience:

• Achieved a degree/certification from University program
• Commercial, Instrument and Multi-Engine ratings required
• R-ATP requirements required

Physical Requirements:

• Possess a USA DOT/FAA First Class Medical Certificate
• Have or be able to obtain a valid passport with the ability to travel in and out of the US
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis without the need for company sponsorship of an employment-based visa now or in the future
• Be at least 21 years of age at the time of application

Through this program, selected pilots advance to Second-in-Command positions with Jet Linx, accelerating their aviation career while gaining experience flying turbine and jet category aircraft. •  Must be an active, recommended CFI at ATP Flight School.
•  Must meet minimum hour requirements approved by ARGUS
•  Must be willing to commit minimum of 3 years to Jet Linx

•   Must be willing to complete ATP Turbine Pilot Standardization Program

Jet Linx is seeking qualified candidates for our jet aircraft for Part 91 and 135 flight operations. Applicant must live in or be willing to relocate to the base area. It is expected that the candidate lives, or be willing to relocate, within a 2-hour call out time of their home base.

Position Summary

We are an industry leader that is growing quickly and looking to expand our team of pilots. Jet Linx is ARGUS Platinum rated and IS-BAO compliant and our operations are under FAR part 135 and 91.

The pilot reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot. The pilot helps prepare and ensure the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures. 

Minimum Requirements

*Some midsize, supermid, and heavy aircraft may require higher flight time minimums*

• Total Time – 1500 hours
• Total PIC – 500 hours
• Total Multi-Engine – 500 hours
• Total Turbine – 100 hours
• Total Instrument – 150 hours

Essential Functions:

• Manage duty, flight, and rest times to requirements of both the company and CFRs
• Maintain communication with the company for standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and pre- and post-flight reports
• Maintain and manage electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware and applications
• Ensure navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are current
• Maintain a current 1st Class medical certificate
• Convey strong, proactive decision-making skills  
• Demonstrate Jet Linx’s core values in all interactions

Other Requirements:

• Initial or Recurrent 142 training in type within the last 24 months is preferred.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. driver’s license
• Proof of eligibility to work in the US
• Current passport
• ATP (ability to obtain ATP)
• 1st Class Medical
• FCC Restricted Radio License
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug/alcohol testing when required
• Unrestricted ability to travel to all Canada, and Caribbean countries 
• Ability to release and pass a FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required 
• Majority of work is completed in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals
• Move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis
